| The
Apostles Creed: "We believe in God the Father Almighty, and in Jesus
Christ His only begotten Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended
into hell; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven; and sits at the
right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and
the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit; the Holy Christian Church; the communion of
saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.
AMEN. |

We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the accepted
canon of the Scriptures as originally given [II Tim. 3:16; I Co. 2:13]. |
 |
We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself
as One God existing in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
distinguishable but indivisible [Mt. 28:19; II Co. 13:14]. |
 |
We believe in the creation, test and fall of man, as
recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain righteousness
[Ro. 5:12,18]. |
 |
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of men,
conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man [Lk. 1:26-35;
Jn. 1:18; Is. 7:14; 9:6]. |
 |
We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose
again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples [I Co. 15:1-4; Ro. 4:25]. |
 |
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven. His
exaltation, and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the church
[Jn. 14:2,3; I Thes. 4:13-18]. |
 |
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through
repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the Cross of Calvary by which
we obtain remission of sins [Eph. 2:8-9; He. 9:12, 22; Ro. 5:11]. |
 |
We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in
the name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of Christ [Mt. 28:19; Ac.
2:34-36; 19:1-6]. |
 |
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an
experience subsequent to salvation, with the Scriptural evidences: namely speaking in
other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and boldness [Ac. 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46;
Gal. 3:14,15]. |
 |
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit
enumerated in I Corinthians 12-14 as manifested in the Early Church. |
 |
We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation
from the world and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian
faith [Eph. 5:18; II Co. 6:14; 7:1]. |
 |
We believe in the healing of the body by Divine Power, or
Divine Healing in its varied aspects as practiced by the Early Church [Ac. 4:30; Ro. 8:11;
I Co. 12:9; Ja. 5:14,15]. |
 |
We believe in the Table of the Lord, commonly called
Communion or the Lords Supper, for believers [I Co. 11:28-32]. |
 |
We believe in eternal life for the believer and eternal
punishment for the non-believer [Jn. 5:24; 3:16; Mk. 9:43-58; II Thes. 1:9; Rev.
20:10-15]. |
 |
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and the
eternal judgment of Satan and his fallen angels [Mt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10-15]. |
|
In
addition to these basic fundamentals, we also believe...
 |
The Biblical form of church government is a plural eldership
with a senior pastor who qualify on the basis of I Timothy 3 in spiritual life, character,
domestic life and leadership ability. |
 |
The Church of Jesus Christ is the last instrument that God
is using to extend His Kingdom prior to the second coming of Christ [Eph. 3:10; 1:20-22;
Mt. 16:18]. |
 |
The local church is completely autonomous, that is, it is
self-supporting and self-propagating in its mature state. |
 |
Every believer in Christ must be subject to Gods
authority in a specific local church for spiritual protection and long term fruitfulness
[He. 13:17]. |

| Beliefs
that establish a Healthy Church . . .
Prayer
~ Jesus said, My House shall be called the House of Prayer [Mt.21:13].
For this reason, we encourage all to spend time in prayer prior to every service in order
to prepare their hearts to receive from the Lord.
Worship ~ Worship to God is a central theme
throughout the Bible. God is pleased with those who actively and wholeheartedly
worship Him in spirit and truth [Jn. 4:24; Ps. 86:12; 149:1-6; 150:1-6].
The Word ~ We believe that the whole counsel
of the Scriptures, [cover to cover], is that which gives us everything we need for
life and godliness [II Pe. 1:3]. Because the centrality of the Word of God is vital
to our Christian growth [Ps. 119:4-11], the sermon is given a real place of prominence in
our services [He. 4:12].
Body Ministry ~ As a member, one can expect
to play a vital role in the corporate assembly life [Eph. 4:16]. We believe that each
individual member contributes to the betterment [or strengthening] of the whole church [II
Co. 12:11-12; 14:26].
Giving ~ Giving is a part of our worship to
the Lord. Every Sunday, we bring our tithes and offerings to the Lord and present them
before Him as an act of worship [Dt. 26:2, 10, 11; Mal. 3:10].
Order ~ God has commanded that
everything be done decently and in order in the Church. For this reason, we
encourage everyone to join the leader of the service as they lead, not quenching the
Spirit, but flowing together with and honoring the leaderships guidelines in
maintaining the flow of the service [I Co. 14:40].
The Family ~ We believe that to have strong
and healthy families is to have a strong and healthy Church [Mal. 4:6].
Membership ~ We are a family, meaning that
we believe in a committed membership. We are committed to strengthening and building each
other up in the faith, helping each other to realize our full potential in God [I Co.
12:25-27]. |
