Prayer Shield

As the Lord continues to place a major emphasis on intercessory prayer as a preparatory tool in the soon coming harvest, we have developed two distinct but related concepts to fulfill the call to prayer.

We believe that every believer has a different role to play in the harvest. However, there is one area of responsibility that is common to all --- prayer. Ephesians 4:16 encourages us to discover our role and fulfill it. It is a call with a promise; "from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love." (my emphasis)

Allow me to chart this Scripture:
Who: What Action
The Whole Body Joined & Knit
Every Joint Supplies
Every Part Works Effectively & Does its Share
Net Result = Growth, Edification, & Love!

The obvious goal of the church is to become mobilized in the work of our Father’s Kingdom. To give ourselves to those things that are proven through time to work, and to have lasting and fruitful results!

The first distinct concept in prayer is the Prayer Shield. The Prayer Shield is designed to enlist every member of your congregation to pray specifically for harvest and revival. We encourage people to select a day (or days) and then fast and pray on the day(s) of their choice.

Praying as a part of the Prayer Shield should be above & beyond your current personal prayer and devotions. When praying as a part of the Prayer Shield, you should maintain your focus on regional harvest, revival in your church, your leaders, people, other churches and other specifically related topics. This is the heart of Jesus’ call to His church.

"Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!" John 4:35 [NKJV]

Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. "Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Matthew 9:37-38 [NKJV]

We believe NOW is the time to become instilled with a fresh passion for prayer! THIS IS THE HOUR to become passionate about praying the Father’s will! His intent is that ALL men be saved! (God our Savior), who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4 [NKJV] This leads us to discuss the second distinct strategy of prayer; The Prayer Net.
